What Is The Green Stain On My Garage Floor?

Imagine if you go out to get in your car and you notice a puddle of green fluid beneath it. What is it and what should you do to fix it?

More than likely the green fluid an antifreeze leak.  Antifreeze is what keeps your car from overheating.  A leak could mean serious problems for your vehicle, especially if your radiator and reservoir run dry, which will lead to major engine damage.  If you notice an antifreeze leak, you will want to take care of it right away to avoid any complications. A few easy places to inspect for the leak are as follows:

  1. Radiator Hoses

  2. Radiator Cap

  3. Reservoir

  4. Radiator

Other possible causes could include an issue with your water pump, intake manifold gasket, and heater core. If you detect a leak, we recommend that you top off your antifreeze and bring your car to your local Best-One.
